Maryellen's Day at the Park

Maryellen wanted to go roller skating, so we took her to the park. She has gotten so good she didn’t fall once.

She only stopped because she was afraid she would squish a caterpillar.

She wanted to find more wildlife, so we went on a hike. “I want to get a better view,” she announced. She climbed a tree before I could stop her.

We walked past a lake and looked out over a bridge. “Boy, I wish we could feed the fish,” she said. Luckily, I had some bread with me, and she jumped up and down so hard with excitement I was afraid she was going to fall off.

Next, we got to play on the playground. “Peekaboo!” she shouted! "I wonder if I can climb this thing.”

“I made it.” She got the hang of climbing that day for sure.
